My fiance and and I are getting hitched next year so we're starting to do all the fun wedding planning stuff that comes along with it, like picking our bridal party. We wanted to do something a little different, and being the cookie lady I am....here is what I came up with.
Here is the bridesmaid dress I've picked, which I used as inspiration for the cookie design. (isn't it cute??) The idea came to mind when I was asked to do bridesmaid dress cookies for a bridal shower in the style of their actual dresses.
Such a fun cookie to work on and a great way to personalize!

Having an Event or Party in the NYC area?
Event planning is hard work, and most people don't have the time or the resources available to make their ideas come to fruition. If you are in the NY state area, I strongly recommend checking out Jax & Devo Event Planning. This sweet duo, comprised of NYC ladies Jackie Kristel and Devon Berkshire, are guaranteed to please. Just take a look at their fabulous work in the gallery section of their website!
I had the opportunity to create these custom monogram cookies for their launch party in the style of their very cute logo.

I had a lovely time planning the event for my sister and all of the personal touches were definitely well worth it. Now I just have to be patient until my nephew finally comes!

Happy New Year!
One of my New Year's Resolutions was to start a baking blog, so although I'm a little late, here I am! Better late than never, right?
Here's a batch of hand decorated sugar cookies with royal icing I made to ring in the new year.
